My father died last October.
Please make a good year receive it in everybody though the greeting at the new year will hold back the period of mourning.

昨年の１０月に僕の父は亡くなりました。
喪中につき、新年の挨拶はご遠慮いたしますが、皆様にはよいお年が迎える様に願います！
（日本の風習ではしないのです。）
